Steam Crow Show @ Red Hot Robot

Journal Entry: Mon Nov 12, 2007, 5:49 PM
Steam Crow Press will be celebrating our third book After Halloween, at Red Hot Robot, this Friday, November 16th, at 7:00 pm. (In the city of Phoenix, Arizona)

It's going to be a mix of a release party, an art show, and an illustration demo.

It will be going on from 7 - 11 pm, and I'll be there signing books, chatting with people, and drawing a vector monster for all to watch. (I'll be glad to answer any questions as well.)

We've been at Steam Crow for almost 4 years now, and we've never had a release party before. So now we are.

Come hang out, check out the cool Red Hot Robot vinyl toys, and come check out my latest book, After Halloween. We'll also have a bunch of prints for sale, some over sized framed giclees, and the last of my Steam Crow Birdies.

Bonus: I'll be doing some free stencils on anything that you allow me to spray on, outside for 30 minutes or so.

Should be fun.

If you're a Phoenician, I could really use some help in spreading the word. Feel free to grab the poster art and put it anywhere that makes sense.

- Daniel

Hey Daniel- didn't realize you were setup here on DA... I met you a couple years ago at San Diego Comic Con- I gave you a "Bottle Cap Monster"- don't know if you remember that or not, been a while. Anyway, glad to see you here- keep up the greatness!!

Me and the husband just joined up at Tiny Army and we're both excited about it. Great thing you've got going there!

Hey Ben -

I've just gotten home and I'm blasting through the illustrations on my next book. It's book time, so I'm trying not to get to distracted right now.

Nice to see you in San Diego, though. Hope you had a great time too!

Hey there, thank you very much. I don't spend as much time here as I probably should.

But, I'm illustrating a new book, so I'm working hard.

Yep. He sits kitty-corner from me, under the skylight. You should ask him about his 50th birthday. We did some great stuff.

Ah, I have to tell you myself. We gave him 50 things. We made 50 1-MOWP certificates (1 minute off with pay) and delivered them throughout the day. Also got him 50 cans of pop, 50 muffins, etc. I am especially tickled by the 50 1-MOWP. The acronym was my idea so maybe that's why I like it so much.
